About us
Sinophilia.org was created in June 1998 by Diana Lavarini and Anna Del Franco, at the time students of Oriental Languages and Literatures at Venice University (Italy).
Diana Lavarini graduated in 1999 and currently works as a free-lance translator (click here for her professional site). She is into photography and natural sciences and is the webmaster of this site. You can e-mail her directly by clicking here.
Anna Del Franco graduated in 1998 and currently works as supervisor in Verona international airport. She is into art, opera music and Disney cartoons.

Sinophilia was born in 1998 as a meeting-point for China-lovers. In these years we have managed to build a database of essential information on the Chinese culture, adding here and there a few more specific essays on Chinese art, history, language and religions, and some useful tools.
